My name is Wendy Maltman and I am Creative Director
of The Malting House Graphic Design Studio in Dundee.

I am an honours graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art (1995) and I have several years of professional graphic design experience. I have a sound foundation in the fundamental elements of graphic design and I love working with colour and type to craft innovative and creative design solutions.

The Malting House

In the malting houses of Scotland’s distilleries the maltmen carefully supervise the process of steeping, germinating and drying the barley; preparing the malt for fermenting and distilling before the new spirit is matured. Colour and character develop as the whisky rests in oak casks, resulting in a quality product for which the Scots hold worldwide renown.

In a similar way, I will take your design brief and oversee the process of research, problem-solving and refining; drawing together elements of colour, form, space, structure and type.
The culmination of the design process are creative solutions which inform, motivate, promote, inspire or entertain; communicating compelling messages between you and your customers.
