Ewgeco - Investing in great design
At that time there was no existing technology which would give Tanya the information she wanted so she set about designing Ewgeco. Her unique invention focuses on a traffic light display which can easily be interpreted by adults and children alike.
I developed several concepts initially with some ideas based around the traffic light display. After lots of reworking we decided to go with a simple, accessible typestyle which reflected the company’s core ideas. Initially the logo was worked up in four colours representing electricity, water, gas and green for eco but later simplified to a classic grey which could be easily reproduced. We chose a green complimentary colour to use on supporting design material. On finalising the logo design, I developed Ewgeco's Brand Manual which includes information on how to use the logo across many applications. I have also completed design work for stationery, leaflets, packaging, adverts, display panels, powerpoint presentations, installation manuals and the comapny’s website (www.ewgeco.com). Ewgeco started installing the first units into Scottish businesses in December 2008 and the company is working towards issuing sales and distribution licenses in the UK and overseas. Ewgeco is a great testimony to sucess through investment in product and graphic design.
