First day of Christmas - Wasps Annual Review
Wasps Annual Review

Designing the annual review for Wasps (Workshop & Artists Studio Provision Scotland) was a project particularly close to our hearts. We love our creative industries studio and being a part of the community at the beautifully renovated Creative Exchange in Perth!

It was brilliant to work with the Wasps Glasgow-based marketing team on this project. Our team created a series of infographics to illustrate key statistics and we developed an innovative design to reflect the Wasps branding. Printed by @WinterSimpsonPrint in Dundee the reports are now on their way to Wasps properties across Scotland.

You can read the 2019-2020 Annual Review for Wasps here

And we can’t wait to welcome our clients back to our Perth studio when it is safe to do so!

Second day of Christmas - Pure Beauty
Pure Beauty gift voucher

We have admired the resilience of everyone working in the hair and beauty sector this year, and few more so than Jennifer and her team at Pure Beauty. During April we supported the salon to set up an online shop allowing them to keep trading during lockdown and help secure the future of the business. We also created these gorgeous branded gift cards with lovely pearlescent envelopes. If you want to support a local business this Christmas, then these gift cards for Pure Beauty in Dundee’s west end would make a perfect present!

Third day of Christmas - Gleneagles Hotel
Gleneagles Hotel staff handbook

It’s been such a privilege to work with the HR team at The Gleneagles Hotel this year. They are dedicated to helping their colleagues work safely and The Malting House team have been supporting with their ‘back-to-work’ communications and new health and safety policy documents.
We’re currently designing a new employee handbook and on-boarding document – all in the very prestigious “Gleneagles” brand style and using their lovely watercolour illustrations.

It’s disappointing to see the hotel closed over the festive season but we look forward to supporting the team as they bring their colleagues back to work in the new year.

12 days of Christmas - La Sicilyana
La Sicilyana Instagram post

One of our newest clients, Scone’s La Sicilyana bistro, has shown real determination to overcome the challenges of lockdown and have grasped the opportunities of the festive season to create a fabulous range of authentic Italian Christmas hampers and award-winning Sicilian wine selections. Our team provided a range of communications, press articles and social media advertising to support the promotional campaign. Shop local, eat Sicilian! We know where we’ll be buying Christmas pressies this year!

12 days of Christmas - Al-Maktoum College

Working with the marketing and communication team at Al-Maktoum College has been a joy this year. A highlight was securing national TV coverage for them just a few weeks into our new working relationship. Seeing how the College has adapted to distance learning, and the care with which it has supported its students, has been inspirational. This kind comment from their Communication and Student Recruitment Officer, Shireen, reflects the strong working relationship we have developed in 2020;

“We are delighted to be working closely the team from the Malting House. Combined, their enthusiasm, creativity, professionalism and commitment to delivering quality content is commendable. We are looking forward to continuing our journey with them.”

12 days of Christmas - Convertibles
Convertibles craft kit

We loved working with Maija from Almaborealis to develop the marketing strategy and branding for her new sustainable knitwear range “Convertibles”. These lovely craft kits help children as young as three to design and make their own clothing by sewing together modular knitted panels using a chunky wooden needle and boingy woollen yarn.

This kit was a reward from Maija’s recent successful crowd funded campaign and we look forward to seeing how she takes the business forward in the new year.

It was a full team effort from The Malting House as we supported Laura from Evermore to rebrand her business and open her new wellbeing salon in the centre of Broughty Ferry.

From marketing and social media support, to developing a new website and treatment brochure, our team used our full range of design, communication and marketing skills.

We all loved working with Laura and were inspired by her vision and determination to push through a very challenging season for her sector and open as Broughty Ferry’s most luxurious venue for beauty treatments and massage.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Summit Facilities Services this year. The Summit team have navigated many challenges throughout 2020 whilst providing essential services for nursing homes, supermarkets and social housing. New contract wins and the acquisition of Tayside Automatic Doors have supported growth throughout the year.

Our team helped raise their profile by providing social media support and writing regular website content including case studies and blogs. We also redesigned the Tayside Automatic Doors logo and website to fit within the Summit brand family.

“Working from home” hasn’t caused any disruption to our work for London-based tech consultancy Principle One. We were quite used to Zoom meetings with their team, even before lockdown!

Following a comprehensive marketing strategy report in late 2019, we continued to work closely with the team to refresh their marketing materials and establish a new website during the early part of 2020.

Throughout the first lockdown we produced branded PowerPoint templates so they could make remote presentations to support their work in the UK law enforcement sector.

It’s been brilliant to support Principle One throughout this challenging year, and to see them continue to grow and make an impact. Always putting their employees at the core of everything it does, we were delighted to support with branded items for their staff hampers sent out ahead of their Christmas party!

Our team is delighted to be working with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CBTI) to support the Climate Sunday initiative ahead of the UN COP26 conference in Glasgow in November 2021. Congregations from all denominations are encouraged to explore the theological and scientific basis of climate issues and commit to take long term action to positively impact the environment.

Following design of the Climate Sunday logo, we were asked to produce a poster to go out to 18,000 English churches to encourage their involvement. Using the same charming illustration style we are currently designing a new website and will support their social media strategy to grow engagement throughout 2021.
