Some highlights of our visits to the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art degree show over the past couple of days included catching up with the fantastic design students who had placements with us last summer, seeing the completed work of Ellie Hickman who based her honours project on creating a digital workspace for The Malting House, and presenting prizes on behalf of The Dyer Craft of The Nine Incorporated Trades of Dundee for the best use of colour.
There’s always such a buzz about the college for the degree show and definitely worth a visit to see the amazing work the students have created following a few very tough years of their undergraduate education.

Great to see the success of the degree show—events like this are a fantastic platform for emerging designers and artists to showcase their work and connect with the wider creative community. Degree shows often represent the culmination of years of study and experimentation, giving graduates an opportunity to present their ideas publicly and gain valuable exposure early in their careers. Managing exhibitions, promotions, and collaborations around these events can involve many parallel tasks, which is why approaches related to multi projects coordination are often important for keeping creative initiatives organized and running smoothly.

I often think about how artists and designers could get blog posts written to share their journeys, something I’ve seen done well through Paysomeone To’s creative writing collaborations.
